Science and Technology to the Fore as an enclosure manufacturer, Cannon lead the way
Our Company has always invested heavily in research, development and testing. In-house laboratories, coupled with close liaison with external universities and testing authorities, ensure that essential compliance is achieved to applicable International Standards for defined project performance, making us a quality electronic enclosure manufacturer.
Testing today to satisfy tomorrow's demands
The Cannon Telecomms environmental test laboratory is used to analyse and prove the performance of electronic enclosure systems. Rigs are constructed to simulate the heat being dissipated from electrical equipment and that being generated from the effects of solar gain.
This resource provides a very high level of predictability and confidence in the performance of Cannon Telecomms thermal enclosure solutions.
Cannon Telecomms have tested cabinets and electronic enclosure products either to destruction or to recognised standards within the facilities at New Milton, or at appointed test houses.
Our cabinet and enclosure ranges have been successfully tested to many standards, which include:
- Dust and water protection test up to IP65 BS EN60529:1992
- Shock and vibration testing
- Paint adhesion tests
- Damp heat cycle testing
- EMC shielding
- Panel rigidity
- Impact
- Door and lock burst tests
- Thermal management tests including 'solar gain'
Plus many other tests, which prove the operational integrity of the locks and hinges, by extended operation cycling tests.
EMC legislation and the resulting product performance specification, are well understood by the management team who participate at international committee level in the creation of international standards for the enclosure market.
The performance and protection of expensive and critical equipment cannot be left to chance.
Cannon Telecomms carries out a wide range of proving trials and laboratory tests to ensure our electronic enclosure products give maximum protection for critical equipment. Full details of these tests are available on request.
Physical and mechanical tests prove the cabinets' capability to withstand heat, resisistance to shock and impact and excessive wind loading.
Cannon Telecomms have the facilities to design and test the alarm and environmental control systems configured to suit the parameters required to protect the installed equipment. This facility overcomes the problem of on-site testing and adjustment. |
