Cannon Technologies is seeing growing demand for its T4 Data Centre POD and POD Plus - part of the range of Cannon T4 data centre solutions that can be retrofitted quickly and easily into existing data centres.
Increasing numbers of companies across the world are turning to Cannon for its energy-efficient PODs that can be deployed in challenging indoor environments quickly and easily.
Cannon’s PODs are a rapid and highly cost effective turnkey solution. Features include the latest Aisle Cocooning and cold aisle containment solutions to help cut power costs.
Cannon T4 Data Centre POD and POD Plus are designed to help companies retrofit the latest generation of data centres technology in older buildings that have access or compliance issues.
But they are so versatile that they are proving popular with data centres of all types.
Redstation data centre at Gosport, Hampshire is one of the recent companies to invest in Cannon T4 Data Centre PODs.
In a turnkey project, Cannon installed two PODs at the £2 million Redstation data centre, which is based at a former Ministry of Defence site.
The two new Cannon PODs for Redstation including full Aisle Cocooning, rafts and cabinets.
Hertfordshire-based Imagination Technologies - which develops and manufactures Pure DAB digital radios - has also invested in Cannon T4 Data Centre Solutions.
Its T4 Data Centre POD came fitted with Aisle Cocooning, Within Row Cannon Cool chilled water to air cooling units and external water chillers to provide cooling.
T4 Data Centre PODs’ modular format means they can be installed swiftly with virtually no impact on their host buildings - speeding up installations and reducing the need for ‘making good’ rented buildings if the PODs need to be moved.
T4 Data Centre PODs’ Aisle Cocooning options include:
- a selection of doors that can be configured to meet user needs
- security access control and temperature monitoring
- cold Aisle Cocooning, rear fan doors and roof fan trays for better and faster dispersal of hot exhaust air
- Cannon Cool chilled water to air heat exchangers within rows to achieve higher cooling capacity
- cabinet roof-mounted cabling for greater under-floor air circulation and better cooling
- additional 200mm wide Cannon Cool units which can be inserted between cabinets, each providing an extra 25kW of cooling.
