ChillCellThe Cannon Datacom 'ChillCell' is a solid state device which is very compact and capable of substantial heat removal for its size. The 'ChillCell' is ideal for maintaining acceptable operational temperatures in chambers which are housing passive equipment such as batteries, or sealed low energy dissipating equipment, which require upper and lower temperature limits within a tighter tolerance range than ambient conditions, e.g. +5°C to +25°C for the chamber with daily ambient temperatures externally ranging from 15°C to +35°C. Such control within a battery compartment will substantially protect battery performance and prolong operational life when ambient temperatures are high or very low. A Cannon heat back-up system is normally provided for low temperature compensation, with temperature sensing and control. The 'ChillCell' may be installed coupled with a CoolCell or as a stand-alone chilling device dependent on the requirements of the performance specification. The power demands of a ChillCell require due consideration when designing the thermal management and power resource of a system. Note: 'ChillCell' heat exchangers are configured specifically for each project in order to achieve optimum performance. | |||||||||
