CannonView
CannonView is proprietary software used to provide real time control of any CannonGuard module, and can be used to gain access (subject to the existing Network and CannonView integral password protection) to any CannonGuard suite anywhere within the reach of the world wide web. Thus providing the database manager/control room (NOC) the ability to remotely monitor and control any item in any rack anywhere.
The CannonView software has been designed to be simple to use and intuitive to learn, and as shown below CannonView software can be used to monitor a single control module, through to any number of fully integrated access controlled, environmentally and power managed suites of racks.

Once logged onto the CannonView system the User may:

Monitor any SNMP fault traps coming from CannonGuard systems

'Drill down' to a site showing a fault or alarm to investigate the cause

View the installed modules in various CannonGuard systems, automatically generated

Individual CannonGuard modules can be selected, using the status pages for each module; users may monitor or alter any module parameters

A remote operator can see if any out of tolerance conditions exist (over temperature, Fan fail, Doors open etc)

Unlock doors to allow engineers access

See how much energy a power outlet is taking, turn off and on individual sockets on a PDU or switch third party equipment

User can remotely change keypad access codes, alter A/C 'switch on' points and view A/V devices communicate with users on site

All actions to access any site are recorded in a history file for audit purpose

All events and alarms are recorded in the history file for audit purposes (upto 1,000 events)

CannonView communicates with the CannonGuard system via a Rack Monitor / Master Controller and can control up to 40 cabinets and over 200 sub modules through each IP address

Specification
Software requirements
To enable the CannonView software to operate correctly one of the following operating systems is required:
§ Windows 2000 Professional (with Service Pack 3 or later)
§ Windows 2000 Server (with Service Pack 3 or later)
§ Windows XP Professional (with Service Pack 1 or later)
§ Windows 2003 Server (RTM release or later)
§ Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) 5.0 or later (Read only access)
Hardware requirements:
For running CannonView software a PC with the following hardware configuration will be required:
§ PC with Intel Pentium or AMD processor running at 1GHz or higher
§ 256 MB of RAM or higher is recommended
§ At least 30 MB of available hard disk drive space
§ CD-Rom drive
§ Ethernet 10Base-T/100Base-TX, Connection (RJ45)
§ Super VGA (1024 x 786) or higher is recommended
§ PC Keyboard and Mouse or compatible pointing device
