Features & Benefits

Three levels of software access and usability:

• A simple 'user'mode
• An intermediate manager mode
• A powerful administrator mode
• A user name and password are required to access the software and encrypted to maximise security

Once logged onto the CannonView system the User may:

• Monitor SNMP fault traps coming from all the available CannonGuard systems
• 'Drill down' to a site showing a fault or alarm to investigate the cause
• Log onto and View the installed modules in any connected CannonGuard sites
• Individual CannonGuard modules can be selected using the status pages for each module; users may monitor or alter module parameters

A remote operator can:

• See if any out of tolerance conditions exist (over temperature, fan fail, doors open, over current etc) 
• Remotely Unlock doors to allow personnel access
• Set unlocking and relocking time delays
• See how much energy a power outlet is taking, turn off and on individual sockets on a PDU or switch third party Equipment
• Reboot racks and servers
• Remotely change keypad access codes, by site or by group
• Change ACU 'switch on' points
• View A/V devices to communicate with users on site
• Use a web browser to view other IP devices within the suite
• All actions to access any site and any changes made are recorded in a history file for audit purposes
• All events and alarms at the site are recorded in the 1,000 line history file on site for audit and backup
• CannonView communicates with the CannonGuard system via a Net/IP module or Master Controller and can control up to 24 cabinets and over 254 sub modules through each single IP address

Software Requirements

To enable the CannonView software to operate correctly one of the following operating systems is required:

• WindowsVista
• Windows 2000 Server (with Service Pack 3 or later)
• Windows XP Professional (with Service Pack 1 or later)
• Windows 2003 Server (RTM release or later)
• Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) 6.0 or later
   

Hardware Requirements

For running CannonView software a PC with the following hardware configuration will be required:

• PC with Intel Pentium or AMD processor running at 1GHz or higher
• 256 MB of RAM or higher is recommended
• At least 30 MB of available hard disk drive space
• CD-Rom drive
• Ethernet 10Base-T/100Base-TX,Connection (RJ45)
• SuperVGA (1024 x 786) or higher is recommended
• PC Keyboard and Mouse or compatible pointing device
